It's hitting or more acurrately the lack thereof that is killing our team. The Bulldogs are so unbelievably inept that they simply do not have any margin for error on defense and pitching, none. That loss last Saturday and again today are glaring examples. Had Mitchell not made one single error last Saturday, he still pitches a sterling game and wins 1-0. No pitcher should be facing the kind of pressure the ours face routinely. Give up 2 or 3 runs, and all is over but the crying. Well, there's no crying in baseball, but you get the drift. State left the bases juiced at least 2, maybe 3 times today with nothing to show for it. Gets a man on 3rd with one down and the next two asshats cannot even put the ball in play. That is not what I expect from MSU. This team is painful to watch.

It is a tee ball level offense that is their demise this year.

We just need to start getting clutch hits and we will be fine. We do need Rea to start hitting. That come back reminded me of the come back against Ole Miss last year and the game against LSU in the SEC tourney. A win tomorrow gets us right back in the thick if things. Me too. We are hitting but what is missing is the clutch hit. Collins has been bad ass this year. I still think we should lead off with Armstrong but Heck did well too. Either of those guys would work IMO. I hope that last hit by Rea gets him out of his slump. He is the guy we need to get going. I think he is the key. You keep him at 4th and keep Heck or Armstrong leading off, we might be able to break out of the slump.
