Farewell old friend. Microsoft dropping suppor doesn't mean you can't use Windows XP, but when the next vulnerability is identified, or feature is required, you are on your own.

Let's say there's an entire industry whose proper operation is depended upon daily by modern civilization. Let's say this industry's test equipment only works with computers that run Windows XP. And let's say there are only few manufacturers of said test equipment and they all have this XP requirement.
