While I agree we got really hot at the right time last year we still finished 16-14 against the toughest schedule in the SEC. We were a little better than mediocre. I agree though that the NCAA run set expectations too high for this year. This team will do really well to host a regional. Just making a regional may be more where we are.

I would have started Humphreys at third from day one and had Detz as DH. No one is stepping up this year. Our seniors are jus playing blahish. You have to play that series like you will never get back to Omaha because there is a huge possibility you won't. Especially the way it is setup now. Shit, Vanderbilt had one of the most dominant teams in college baseball last year and they didn't even make it to Omaha. Of course, we don't even play Graveman in the championship series and should have played him in game one. We had two chances to beat OSU and we play him against OSU? That was one of the big time bad decisions Cohen had that led to us doing poorly in that series.

No I'm not ok with it. But I'm not going off the damn deep end on our first road trip. We aren't going undefeated and we may not play for the damn title this year. But, I wouldn't trade our position as a program with any in the country right now. And there isn't many teams that can say that. We will be fine watch out for that sky that is falling on your head. Some of our fans can't handle a smidge of success. Have no clue that it takes more than one run in a season to be considered elite. And sometimes there is a stretch in the season you have to take a step back to take 2 forward. Baseball is a lonnnnngggggg season and a lot can happen and the season needs to play out. It's not like football where there is just one Saturday a week and you lose twice and your season is shot. Some of you ****ers need to get a damn grip and realize it just turned March and doomsday is not upon us. We are on the cusp of elite as a program but it takes a little bit of time. But we are right there.

Way to early to get a read on this team and how it will finish. Preseason, it was a case of the sky is the limit. Now it is a case of the sky is falling. The truth will be somewhere in the middle. I do think it is pretty obvious though that the Diamond Dawgs were WAY over rated.
