I agree with Sherman and Mike Wilbon. This is ridiculous.

It should be banned. The word means ignorant. Fighting for the public use of a derogatory word is ridiculous. These guys have no idea what the word really means to their daily use of it. If my father heard anybody use that word, he corrected them on spot. The overall ban should actually cover all slurs.

Why not just ban all profanity on the field, rather than single out a word that is used nearly exclusively (at least out in the open) by black people?
