No, it never does. This is a university whose band played Dixie whilst a large contingent of the student section chanted "the south will rise again"......this is just business as usual for them.

I thought I remembered one of our coaches on H2H before signing day saying that our staff does not negatively recruit. I never understood that philosophy, if true.

Everybobdy does it and very few coaches would be dumb enough to admit it in a public setting.

For the guys whose families are looking for a "payday" in recruiting, no it won't. The Treadwell's and Tunsil's will look past it.

For the guys whose families care about character and such, then yes it might could hurt.

If this happened mid-January, maybe.

OM has a full year to explain all of these situations away to recruits. Unless there is NCAA action, it won't affect a damn thing.
