I'm no Will James but I do know how to enter data into a computer. I've come up with a weekly SABR post that I hope you will enjoy this baseball season. I know it's early and these stats are basically meaningless at this point, but I'm just letting y'all know that I plan on doing this each week - probably Monday or Tues. on M&WN, but I'm not going to post it here so if you're interested in this be sure to check out the site.

That's good stuff. Thanks for sharing the numbers. What do you think about compiling career stats since there is such limited data to work with? I will be tracking your SABR Dawgs.

I think you got Nick and Jake Vickerson mixed up in there. Its Jake that plays for us right now. Just a little something I noticed but good stuff. Also can you put in parenthesis what the abbreviations stand for. I think one of the ones I didn't recognize was BABIP.

One suggestion for pitching would be to add FIP. It's pretty easy to calculate. Click Here. (http://www.fangraphs.com/library/pitching/fip/)

Also, if you're going to use OPS, I'd go ahead and do OPS+ and adjust it to the SEC average. Just divide the OPS of the player you're looking at by the league average (which is .794 right now (http://www.secdigitalnetwork.com/Portals/3/SEC%20Website/Baseball/2014/lgteams.htm)) and multiply by 100. That gives you a better idea of how each hitter stacks up relative to other SEC players, with the average hitter having an OPS+ of 100. For example, CT Bradford's OPS+ is 104 (.824/.794 x 100) right now.

Of course, all this will be meaningless until around the middle of March anyway. I'll look forward to each update.

My bad. I'm sure that won't be the first time I call Jake Nick. And for some reason I keep wanting to call Cody Brown Corey Brown...at least in my head.

What the acronyms stand for is in quotes, but parenthesis is probably better. BABIP is batting average for balls in play.

Similar for pitchers with FIP, FIP+, LOB%, RAA, and RAA+

I like the + ones cause it gives your stats compared to the rest of the team/league

I changed the format and added FIP. Now it includes every player on the team's stats for all of it, and compares it to some traditional stats. As the weeks go by I'll do some tinkering with it and comparisons to SEC averages. Hope you enjoy.
