Got this from a friend of mine..

"My buddy got arrested in Oxford sat night. Was in drunk tank with DK. (so apparently big bro got attested)
Cop told him Sunday morning when he got out that players get arrested on a weekly basis and it always keeps getting swept under the rug.."

If there is evidence of a systematic cover up of crimes committed by Ole Miss Fb players, it could be a big story. Unfortunately, I don't see any of the sports reporters having the balls to blow this up like it should.

Not surprising at all. It's just part of the culture in Oxford to get too wild and not pay proper consequences. What they don't realize is that it's hurting the direction of their football program badly. It took a few years, but people are starting to figure out their tactics and it's going to hurt them in recruiting for years to come. We are here to make sure it gets exposed and continues to hurt them. They deserve it.

This doesn't make any sense. WTF do they keep arresting them every weekend? This sounds like Otis on the andy griffith show. Do they let themselves in and out?

Word is Denzel wasn't the only player in jail too.

Also heard from some LSU buddies that younger brother was involved with rape situation but was somehow left out of the news release we saw a couple weeks ago. They pinned the crime on a scape goat 8th string player, who wouldn't ever likely contribute on the field. It amazes me how they continue to get away with "murder". That's about the only crime that football program hasn't committed in the last decade. Wonder why we haven't heard anything else on that? Have all accusing parties been paid off, and Freshman AA saved by the $ again?

That's why its very strange that C Ward got convicted of the DUI.. Lawyer up on that get it thrown out and prob get a one game suspension.
May have been a much bigger deal than just DUI, or OM may be cutting ties with CW..

Kinda like frequent flier miles? Maybe they each have a copy of the key in their lockers? "Welcome to the team, you'll probably need this..."

Care to summarize? Most people aren't paying to join the Bear Board to read it.

The 247 article is a link to the Rebs 247 board where a known bear poster states that Denzel and "bird" were arrested and also that some bad news is on the horizon that will give a black eye to the city of Oxford.

"Wasn't going to post this until I saw it else where. It is out now.
Two starters were arrested this past weekend on the square. Denzel and Bird. Bird for fighting and Denzel for trying to argue with the cops.

There are other rumors circling that as of now do not involve Ole Miss but will be a black eye to Oxford. That's all I am going say about that for now.

I know some like to put their head in the sand and act like it doesn't happen, but you will be seeing these new rumors circling around, be prepared. From what I am hearing they are not rumors. Buckle down and grow some thick skin boys."

I know this, but it seems like this would be a slam dunk story for any journalist with a pair. There has to be someone out there willing to ignore the payoff and make a name for themself.

A quick google search of Ole Miss Football Bird lead to Serderius Bryant. Makes sense as him and DK are both linebackers together.

This is why MSU fans get so frustrated about our beat reporters. Do you think ANY MSU player could have ANY altercation with the law and it not be reported almost immediately. Heck, wasn't it Quay that got a ticket over some kind of traffic deal that our guys fell all over themselves to report but yet there seems to be many things MUCH more serious that OM players get into that either never get reported or it gets reported WAY after the fact because it gets too big or too involved to keep under wraps any more.

I don't know what Freeze is doing but this looks awful for his entire program. I don't think "The U" had this many arrests in an off season and it is just starting. I wonder how many of these he is gonna have to comment on and say "we are looking into the facts" before someone starts asking questions. 4 arrests and a prostitution ring in a matter of a month. Michael Bonner would make his career if this happened here.

While I agree with point....it's the atmosphere that they are pushing plus the other thing that can't be talked about.
Different topic but what was the name of that movie with Dolly Parton and Burt Reynolds ?

Must have been bad for the two players to get suspended, but Freeze's suspension I'm sure will be handled "in house"-which seems to be his favorite term these days.

An arrest or two may be overlooked, but numerous arrests from drunken disorderly conduct and DUI to rape indicates an alarming trend of the culture up there to anyone with half a brain.

There definitely is a theme of over-indulgence around their program. That usually doesn't end well. It hasn't for us in the past or other programs.

An announed suspension for disorderly conduct after multiple bad things get out publicly.

Back up to the Ward's DUI where lives are endangered...no announced suspension there. Because when it happened, there hadn't been multiple recent bad things that got out publicly.

The fact that Little K tweeted God Got Me speaks volumes about this program. It's like Freeze tells the players to quickly say something about God if they get in trouble because it will be easier to spin later.

The Hypocrite of all Hypocrites teaching his followers how to use the smoke and mirrors tactic. Have I missed something lately. Did someone start a new denomination of the Christian Religion where Rape, drug/alcohol abuse, disorderly conduct, theft, and DWI are all accepted and righteous acts?

It this simple fact of the Beav basicly spews bullshit daily (something I've been saying since day 1 he was hired) starting to show on the recruiting front. We seem to have every bit of momentum now on the field and recruiting trail. OM's class they just signed was mostly impacted by their surprise 12 season and steal of a class after that. In the last 12 months there have been numerous incidents and articles from recruiting improprieties and dissent amongst the program to rape and alcohol/drug arrests. One would assume, and hope, that most high school players with aspirations of SEC ball, would be well aware of all of these incidents, thus steering clear. End result, we are pulling in who we want with the 2015 class. Am I reading too much into everything, or do others seem to think this is starting to affect them? I know we have a lot going for us the next 2 seasons, but I don't remember it ever being this lopsided, especially this early in the recruiting year.

The kids might not know any better because they all go for the parties and girls. My question is when are the parents going to realize this and not allow their child to go to a school that is constantly in this kind of trouble. I would never allow my daughter in that city much less that campus.

It won't matter with some parents as long as they have what THEY need. Hell, some elementary kids are "encouraged" to struggle in school for the good of the family. In the end, the kids are a reflection of those that raised them.

Call me a skeptic, but I just figure the OM money machine has not gotten rolling yet. I'm afraid that even with us hitting the top prospects early, there's still plenty of time for poachers to come along and "convince" some in our '15 'crootin class to reconsider.

Oh, no doubt the machine will get rolling, but will continued instances like the above mentioned be too much to overcome. Has our staff finally caught on to the correct way to use these events to our advantage is more of what I was getting at. You can bet they will be trying to break the bank again, around October, once the slush funds are replenished.

I was in the frat with the biggest rep for partying. No doubt I could have been popped for DUI back then, though I never was. However, if I'd have been an SEC football player, knowing damn full well what was expected and at risk, and knowing all the advantages I'd have, I just can;t see myself being stupid or immature enough to get in that situation. And regardless of any situation, there is NO WAY I would have talked back to cops or resisted arrest.
