That's good. Let them see a couple of games and get thru the routines of game days then get them on the field. I like it.

Not to mention keeping Humphries away from frontline SP's to start his career- and get some hitting charts for Hudson before he takes the mound....what will those coaches think of next???

Maybe. Woodruff will get another chance Friday. Actually, I hope Woodruff turns it around so we can continue to pitch Dakota on Sunday against the other teams third starter.

Dakota looked really sharp today. I could see him being a weekend starter come SEC play

Cohen said something postgame about he cost us the first game by moves that he made. What exactly was he talking about.

Freshman RHP Dakota Hudson's velo Sunday...
In the first three innings, Hudson's 4-seam fastball was consistently 94-96, topping out at 98 once on my Stalker Pro II game, the same gun that MLB scouts use. In the 4th inning he was consistently 93-95, top 95. He showed a 79-82 curve and an 82 changeup when he threw them during the game. He didn't throw the off-speed pitches as much as he normally does due to the velo and location of his fastball.

Once the new guys get their nervousness overwith, they should be fine. Just need to play games, no rain outs. But we got to hit, SO is not good.
