Well, in light of this news, I wouldn't mind getting USM on the line. That would probably be better for our RPI anyway. Of course, they may not want to come here when they already had a home series scheduled...

I will say that we shouldn't panic and try to schedule Alcorn or Valley just to get games in if that's what it came down to. A four game series with them would kill our RPI- even if we swept.

They may be trying to bring in a different opponent or something before breaking the news. That way people don't just go canceling hotel rooms and shit when we still might play somebody. Just a guess though

This is a crazy situation. Normally we have Valley in place in case we need to schedule a game or two, but four might kill our RPI.

I don't know what we are going to do if they can't make it. But, what I would do is try to make Memphis a DH and then when we play USA later, maybe turn that into a DH as well. That's a lot of wheeling and dealing though.

My guess is that they are going to keep it on until it is absolutely impossible for them to make it. But it looks like we are headed towards that. It also may be that they are trying to decide what to do- find someone last minute or schedule some more games or just not play them.

That looks like a very good replacement- Western Carolina had an RPI of 55 last year.

I wish we could get them to play a four game series, but you take what you can get. Good work getting this set-up on short notice.
