Would ray still be guaranteed next season? Could you imagine what crowds at the hump would look like? Could we afford to keep ray?

If he does stay he needs to take a huge pay cut! No way we are getting what we are paying for

If that happens you could probably fit the entire crows in the black cushion seats at courtside.

Only 8 games left.

One bad (horrible, really) loss still doesn't change the fact that Ray's still in the middle of the second of two injury and attrition-plagued rebuilding years. He gets a pass until the end of this season no matter what happens from here out. If we aren't showing obvious signs of tremendous improvement right away next season, then he should be squarely on the hot seat and should not get a fourth year if our record is similar to what we're going to end up with this year. I think many of you are going to be surprised with what you see though.

Agreed. Stans recruited well on paper but Gordon was the last big recruit that stayed full term. It does take time. Ray just has to hit MS hard.

Let's aim for scoring 20+ points.

This is as ugly as I have seen ms state basketball in at about twenty years. He gets next season. If we aren't showing remarkable signs if improvement, it'll be time. No sense in waiting around at that point. I'd like to see him get four years, but after three, you have to at least be making strides. I still think he's a competent coach but his recruiting to this point is concerning.

He gets next season, no doubt there i don't think. Improvements has to be shown. Recruiting has to be better than bringing in 5'10'' point guards, 6'1'' shooting guards, and players averaging 8 points a game in high school. With the absolute lack of scoring ability with the current team, somebody is gone have to come in and be able to shoot.

the attrition, etc. When we have a full roster next year and things haven't changed then he'll be on the hot seat. To be honest, other than spelling guys for a few minutes to give them some rest, these other players don't appear to be that good from what I ascertain.

I agree down to the last sentence. But I hope you are right.

Prolly gets next season regardless, but things will be mighty hot if no improvement is shown next year.
