Monumental because it's expected to be the most extensive and expensive renovation in the history of college sports -- and also give aTm the largest stadium in the SEC...

Been saying it for a while now, but aTm has the potential to be the dominant force in the SEC (therefore the country). Adding them to the SEC was bad news from the start unless you wanted someone else to perpetually finish behind in the standings.

This as compared to our meager 7K addition. Wow!

Saban did exactly that with our weight room and new football complex. He had an addition put on their weight room so that theirs would be the largest in the SEC over ours. For a brief couple of months our weight room was the largest in the SEC.

aTm is going to be a monster now that they're out of Texas's shadow. They've got money & resources like crazy. One of the 2-3 best recruiting areas in the nation. Now they get to say they're in the SEC, which will automatically boost their attractiveness. The sleeping giant has finally awoken. The rest of us should be scared.

On a side note, it'll be interesting to see what happens when we eventually expand and add UNC & VT to the SEC. I could see UNC taking a pretty big jump.
