That was a column about absolutely nothing.

You didn't get that there are rumbles of a cpl commits that would raise our composite team ranking to #6?

I don't know about the rest of you, but after NSD most years, i need a good 3 month break of looking at stars and recruits.

"MSU could have the 6th ranked class by Monday." seems pretty clear. If that, or as you said, something close to that, happens this weekend it would be one hell of a way to start the spring.

I thought 2012 could've been the year, but it's apparent now that 2014 is the year, that MSU takes itself to the next level. Following next season, a 6 or 7 win season will become a down year and we'll be a perennial dark horse for the SEC West each year.

Say what?? I would think a potential ranking like that, even if very, very early, is quite an accomplishment considering where we are at present.

I know it's going to be a fight til signing day, but I really hope we can keep Jay Johnson. I think he's a stud.

Bump for Bully99. I know I said MSU's class could rise to 6th after JR day and I was wrong. It is now 7th in the nation.

7th in the nation, and that is good for 5th in the SEC west. Just ridiculous how good our division is.

DE Christian Bell of Hoover (Ala.) HS

Is this any relation to Nick Bell? Wasn't he from around Birmingham too?

Don't think so but he is one of many high profile kids from Hoover. Most notably Marlon Humphrey last cycle. MSU is recruiting very well at Hoover, It's just hard to pry from Bama. Always the chance that Bama fills up a certain position and you can land a big time kid from their back yard though. I love the strategy.

Lulz no doubt. I expect a lot of movement on him between now and NSD. As soon as he gets seen at some camps, his senior film comes out, and possibly an all-star game after the season, he could be a later riser to a 4-star.

Really Clark?

I agree that will probably happen. If they are looking at him right now at just S then his ranking might suffer but I think chances are he ends up at LB where his hips won't be an issue. Little stiff there right now.

I really expected them to slap a 90 on him based on his tape on the front end like they did with Cam Myers and Jay Johnson -- then adjust from that.

Had they done that, we would have jumped all the way to #4. A conspiracy theorist could have a field day with that one...
