Well I CERTAINLY agree that we have more appeal to RECRUITS now than ever and our program is rising but I'm talking about trying to get respect from other programs outside the SEC right now (like a Clemson). When people see us winning 10 games, being consistently ranked and appearing in an SEC championship game like what happened in the late 90s, that at least gets you some measure of respect. And yes, we all know the SEC is much tougher now, but people in other conferences could care less about who finishes 4th through 6th in the SEC West plus the fact that before Mullen we arguably the worst 10 year stretch of MSU football EVER. YES, we need to beat some SEC contenders to open people's eyes outside the SEC and hopefully that starts in the 2014 season!

I have NEVER liked our chances with anyone at HCC-Goodman. It is not MSU friendly down there. And I realize there may be a few of you on here who don't like that statement, but it is true, at least from my longtime and deep connections there. We are not hardly ever gonna land someone from HCC. The powers that be there would rather the player go out of state than to sign with MSU.

Will Redmond was a "game changer" out of high school, and he finally has a chance to start. You can't sign an elite guy at each position every single season. Would have been nice to grab Tee, but CB is not a position I'm worried about. Redmond is a top-tier player. That can be lost a lot of times during recruiting season, guys are already on the roster.

I hate to sound butt hurt, but I agree with several of the other posters that we "wanted" Tee much more than we "needed" Tee. I told someone when he committed that it was great and all, but I doubt he plays much except to add depth to a pretty deep position already. I still would have liked to get him just to close the day perfectly. Oh well, it's a pretty damn good class and certainly addresses the needs.
