If the Texans draft him number 1, I think it makes it apparently clear that their number 1 goal is tickets and jersey sales instead of trying to put a competitive team on the field. Of course, he could shock everyone and be the difference maker the Texans need.

Reminds me of how Florida fans were pleading Jacksonville to draft Tebow with their first pick in 2010.

saw a draft projection that had Clowney going to the Texans...had Manziel to Cleveland

Manziel with Cameron and Gordon would be pretty ****ing good until Manziel got hurt

So basically they would suck after the second preseason game when some 7th round draft choice DE is playing his heart out trying to make the practice squad folds him up like a cheap lawn chair?

I think Johnny makes it one full season before they hurt him

I would like to think that O'Brien took the job knowing he wouldn't have to coach Manziel. Manziel could do fine in the right system, but he and O'Brien likely won't match up well.

Although I would love to see what a defense with Clowney and Watt could do, I think the safe bet is Bridgewater. Mgmt might be swayed by the thought of gaining some local fans with Manziel, but the stadium was at 101% of capacity last season. They aren't near the marketing gimmick panic to boost sales yet.

I think Manziel is a better QB with the Texans inside that nice warm Reliant stadium than he would be in Cleveland's shithole stadium freezing his nuts off. If I'm Manziel I'm doing whatever I can to convince Houston to take me.

If I'm the Texans, I trade the pick and drop down a couple spots to get extra picks. Then I draft Evans from A&M- he is going to be the next Megatron/Jimmy Graham type of dominant pass catcher in the NFL.

I dont see any of those QB's that excite me long term. So I take a sure thing in Evans, get more picks, and draft a QB in the 2nd or 3rd round.

Bridgewater is the better NFL QB IMO
