both schools were seriously both in the hunt for:

By my count:
? D. Bouldin ? redshirted his first year.
? L. Hooks ? no impact as a juco junior
? Kailo ? no impact as a true fr
? A. Morris ? partial starter his first 2 years @ OM. Appeared to have been out of shape by 30+ pounds heading into year 2. Never really considered MSU though
? Brassell ? no college career to speak of. His HS teammate, Market a contributor both of his first 2 years in action @ MSU.
? Tobias Manning ? no college career to speak of
? B. Brunetti ? no college career to speak of
? CJ Johnson ? decent DE despite highly recruited MLB. No comparison to his peer of same class, McKinney
? Patterson ? no college career to speak of. His HS teammate, Skinner was a 3 year SEC starter for MSU
? Ward ? lost on the DL rotation. Through 2 years ~ 45 total tackles and 1 sack vs a small nonconf team.
? V. Sanders ? minimal impact through his RS jr year.
? K. Wood ? no college career to speak of.
? C. Thompson ? no college career to speak of
? B. Bennett & Carlton Martin ? no college career to speak of
? W. Dorsey ? former juco 5 star who barely played
? Cordell Giles ? no college career to speak of

Plan on adding Rawlings to this list. Sure, there were other guys like Conner we both recruited, but we never had a shot with him. The above list is guys that truly considered us. Point being that there's trends and there's trends...the trend here is picking OM over MSU doesn't end well for the player.

I hope the dad of Rawlings publicly/personally thanks & acknowledges Saint Mullen for getting his son an OM Scholly. Got to give the OM lawyer dad a lot of credit for having his plan work out so well by leveraging MSU. Fins up!
