Rosebowl will certainly tweet at some point today that "I am told things are going well".

How is he told this? The kids are supposed to be left alone on their recruiting trips, and it is very unlikely that Dan Mullen or Deshea Townsend have him on speed dial. So most likely, Rosie is making things up, which he's really good at. After all, he is called RoseBowl for a reason.

It was the national title game that year, though. It may have been a little crazy but it wasn't anything insane.

I will say, though, that the article he wrote should be sobering when being tempted to go crazy discussing next year. Nobody has predicted a national title for us, and I think the wooly predictions are pretty spot-on, but 2001 is a reminder that even when everything seems lined up perfectly, it can all come crashing down so quickly.
