After all the drama yesterday including Steve saying he was getting dropped and Bryant taking MSU off his twitter...

Now Paul says Bryant talked to the staff and they weren't happy but nothing has changed as far as his status. He has also been posting tweets saying he's still a dawg.

Crootin season y'all!

Bryant just tweeted, he's ready to play with the boys at State! with the hashtag #thisisourstate... every person on here needs to go call rosebowl out on this. He is officially a piece of crap in my book.

Crootin season! Makes me wonder why I follow it honestly. Every year I care less as far as hanging on to what our media says as the gospel.

Just like I thought, this would get worked out before the weekend is over.

Rosebowl just posted on his board that he talked with Bryant and that he is still committed to us.
Sounds like Rosebowl created this whole non-issue

Like I said yesterday, I can't think of another school where they have a "media" member that creates so much negative drama.

For all intents and purposes, this should have been a relatively peaceful weekend. Our drama should have centered around Cory Thomas.

But hell no....one of our recruits lied to the mightly sherriff, and you just don't do that!

Totally agree.

For everyone that was saying how we won't take kids that do terrible things like "go on a visit" when being told not to, just need to take a breath. Rosebowl made our coaches' job harder yesterday, plain and simple.

If Rosebowl already knew that Bryant's offer was pulled and someone else was taking his place, why was it necessary to talk to him to find out his status? According to Rosebowl, he was putting out "facts" that he was certain about. It's quite obvious that Rosebowl knew nothing and had no "facts" at all.

Correct.

As someone eloquently and accurately posted yesterday I believe, if he did this at Bama, his nuts would be hanging from Saban's rear view mirror.

And again, the issue here is not that Steve said it somewhere. Obviously Paul was giving the same info yesterday...but he was doing that to his message board.

If Steve had just posted that on his premium board as a 'Here's the situation...' there would have been no issue.

But there was nothing to gain by throwing that stuff out on twitter and could have potentially hurt us.

Rosey revealed himself with Devinner. Why any State fan would pay money to that site after that is beyond me. He doesn't care whether he hurts MSU.

Paul only responded after it became an issue that he had to address. The last bit of info that they had may very well have been that Bryant might lose his scholarship if he took a visit, but even with that info as a reporter, they have to know WHEN to release that. And the responsible thing to do would have been to WAIT and see what action the coaches take before just assuming what was going to happen.

But you don't get on twitter and call a kid a liar and say that he isn't committed and that his offer is gone if you are a member of the media.

And Paul might have also been agreeing so that a Rosebowl bash fest didn't ensue on his board because if that happened, he may have very well had to deal with the Genespage Goof Troop of Gene, David, and Rosebowl about it.

Yep, and please copy me on the tweets to him, after he and his sheep lit into me yesterday for calling this shot right away. I'd like to hear the blind speak about their leader today after praising him yesterday. EliteDawgs has better info than Rosebowl and we don't get paid...and I'm only 5% kidding.

I believe you will find Steve has reported exactly what has happened with Bryant. If u don't like that Steve criticized Bryant in a tweet, that's your problem. Emotions have been pretty high on this fiasco. Bryant is lucky to get back in the door. Maybe MSU is lucky also that he was willing/able to ask back in. Who really knows who blinked first. I'm sure Steve is reporting just what he was being told, and in fact he may have been asked to report what and the way he did it. Ever think of that? I personally think Steve is a pretty straight shooter. I will believe what he says over what about 99% of you guys on this board would say.

Sometimes is better to STFU and not try to create drama or at least keep it close to the vest until he could get his story straight. No reason for him to get into a twitter fight with one of our recruits. I hope Mullen crawls his ass.

Rosebowl is in Baton Rouge and gives 2 shits about MSU. Don't come back on here with this stupid shit again.

If you think what Steve did was the right way of doing things, there is no hope for you my friend. It publicly gives a bad perception of how our coaches recruit and that is the exact shit that OM uses against us. I personally believe Steve just wanted to be the one breaking ( the lead story)..What he did can hurt our recruiting, not help it one bit...

1. He called Bryant a liar because he felt like Bryant going to USM made him look bad because of what he reported. THAT is uncalled for. Later on we find out it was his parents that wanted to go on the visit because they felt obligated since USM had recruited him for a long time. (Gee, I wonder which board had people have the idea that maybe it was his parents that wanted him to go.) So, basically he called a kid a liar because he obeyed his parents.

2. He said that Bryant's scholarship was being pulled and MSU was going in a different direction and we were going to give Bryant's scholarship to Gray. That was untrue. Hopefully we still get Gray, but if we get him, he won't be getting Bryant's scholarship.

3. If you think that Dan Mullen wanted Rosebowl to blast a recruit and tell him that his scholarship was gone over twitter, that's insane. Not to mention it's against Dan's M.O.

One of the dumbest things I've ever seen posted on this board. When Rosebowl does stupid crap that could cost us a recruit that's a problem for ALL MSU fans. He pissed off Alexander last year and now caused unnecessary PUBLIC issues with Bryant this year. How can you defend the guy?

Steve spends way too much time following pornstars/cam-girls/ass and tatoo models on his Scout Twitter feed to be focusing much time on recruiting. Between his lack of twitter etiquette and glowing stories and interviews with Byron DeVinner (who helped get us on probation) that should be enough to give him the Matt Stevens treatment.

He tweeted something as not only fact but undeniable and resolved fact. Which as we all now know is not true.

If it was a one time deal, OK- we all screw up from time to time, get bad info, have a bad day, etc. But this is like an annual event with him.

I'll be disappointed if MSU doesn't do something to him this time.
