Womack is one of the top two o-linemen in the state next year. He's an OT. He played last year at Magnolia Heights, although I do believe he is from Hernando.

I think you misunderstood maroonmania. I think he meant that it could NOT be a relative of the OM coach because His name is spelled with 2 "m"'s. I may be wrong though.

I believe he was saying that the OM coach's name is spelled 'Wommack' with 2 m's, therefore the two aren't related.

I disagree about the top 2 in the state. He's closer to 3rd or 4th. Of course Javon Patterson is 1 but Tommy Champion from Calloway is prolly 2. He has offers from both MSU & OM already & we sit well with him despite his teammates allegiances.

I think lot of these guys change their diets completely when they stop playing. Look at guys like Teddy Bruschi, mark schlereth, and Jeff Saturday who are much smaller than they were when they were in the league. No doubt that Womack is a hoss though.

Yep, throw David Pollack into that mix, who you can actually now call skinny. It goes to show that a lot of those guys are big not because they love eating or can't stop but that it is a discipline, and in some cases a sacrifice, to continue eating enough to keep playing the way they do.

People definitely don't appreciate what they do. You do see some players after they finish playing stay huge and simply turn muscle into fat, but by and large most of them drop huge amounts of muscle. I think that's probably under-appreciated when people talk about the health effects of football also. Even if they weren't taking a beating from other freakish athletes, I have to believe that carrying that much extra weight, whether in the form of fat or muscle, has to show up negatively in long term health.

I work with Addison. He's still a pretty big guy, but I never stood next to him during his playing days.
