See quote from other thread.

Actually that was me and it was Kiiffin. From a good source Mullen was in hot negotiation with him and looked like a done deal but apparently Saban quashed that. I'm not totally dissapointed frankly. Will keep you updated when I hear more.

Kiffin would not fit in well in Starkville. Glad it's not him.

That's an understatement. I can't see how it would have worked with us with Dan calling the plays and Lane just coaching QB's essentially. And then Lane and Bracky- that would be as bad as Coach O and Bracky.

I'm actually glad we didn't get Kiffin, just not a fan of the guy. However, I can't really see him wanting the job and moving to Starkville. Alabama makes since, basically the best team in the land under the best coach.

We were never getting Kiffin. Ever. Pipe dream rumor similar to Ole Miss getting Tony Dungy a cpl years ago.

Bama makes more sense because he runs the offense that Saban likes and because Saban is going to let him run the offense and make play calls. I think Kiffen is a good OC, but he wouldn't be a good fit here.

Kiffen never would have worked here.

Kiffin was never a thought in Dan's mind. He doesn't even come close to running a system like Dan's .
