Of the previous 16 QB Heisman trophy winners, only one has ever won a playoff game in the NFL. The one who did was Tim Tebow. Cam Newton can be the second if Carolina wins their game this weekend against San Francisco.

Roger Staubach, Jim Plunkett, Doug Flutie (kind of), and Vinny Testaverde won a few. Hell, Staubach was a Super Bowl MVP.

Good point.... guess I didn't feel like doing the math to count the last 16 qb's lol. Damn you Andrew Ware for creating the heisman curse and being a boring announcer!

to me, ware is the best announcer out there. He's the one guy that focuses on the x&os and can really dissect and communicate what's going on. I actually value his opinion and will watch a game I'm not interested in if he's covering it. He knows good qb play.

Sort of illustrates that the more corporate college football became, the less it translated to the NFL. I still think that's the case, now more than ever. Unless you just have a freak like Cam Newton who can do it all.

To each his own man.... I admit, he's not as bad as Matt Millen.... but he's not as good as John Gruden.

Haha, I almost wrote that I thought ware was as good as Gruden as he's one of my favorites. Come on, Millen is the worst followed by Craig James, lugenbill, lunqwist...ware is way better thAn any of those
