not to mention our #3's, 4's, and 5's play other conferences 1's, 2's, and 3's.

That's a real point.

THIS

I've always laughed at how this works. The SEC teams play teams that finished higher in other conferences and still win. I also find it funny that everyone wants to say, "The SEC is down, not the best conference anymore." Yet there is no other option as to who the best conference is. All the other conference have much worse loses and records.

It's like OK saying the Big 12 is awesome after beating Alabama and that the SEC is overrated, but then you see that Baylor lost to UCF and OK State lost to Mizzou.

It's just gotten to the point where people expect the SEC to be perfect.

Is there a single bowl, where by contract, the SEC plays a lower seed from another conference (ie SEC #3 plays Big 12 #4)? I don't think there is such a Bowl contract.

The national title game- the SEC #1 played the SEC #2 two years ago!

that's funny.

the bowl tie in themselves prove the SEC is by far the superior conference in the country. Otherwise the SEC #3 would be playing the ACC #5 or the Big12 #6. The mere fact that it is the way it is shows that the college football postseason executives agree that the SEC is the dominant fixture in college football.

Yes. The Liberty Bowl. Although it's not apples to apples.

?

Isn't the Liberty the #1 from C-USA?

The Liberty Bowl is Conference USA #1 vs SEC #9 or 10. How does that make the the Conference USA team the lower seed?

Unless it's changing next year, that's incorrect. The LB has been the CUSA Conference Champ vs. SEC #7-9.

ASDF I'm losing my mind building this motor this morning.

No -- no such bowl currently exists -- but they will happen occasionally next year.
