Well then, looks like everyone is in consensus on this. Weather Service has 32/16. Wind chill actually dropping below 10 that morning around 5 a.m.

A lot of these places have a high chance for rain and snow on Sunday followed by a deep freeze on Monday. Could get ugly.

Snow is a bit unlikely, especially as far South as Jackson. I'd keep an eye on it, but keep expectations low....very low.

I was hearing yesterday we could go 2 to 3 days without getting above freezing. (Jack-town area)

I see they have backed off that slightly.

The problem with the long-range forecasts is that there are only 2 public models that go past 4 days. Even then, you can only really rely on models about 2-3 days out. So there is always a lot of free-play past 4 days since there is such a small model output for that time period. Give it time...

Okay, keep in mind that the GFS usually runs cold and fast. With that in mind, it looks like Jackson, TN will get snow. The GFS is showing snow from mid afternoon Sunday through around midnight that night. After that, temperatures are well below the snow-growth region so not much precipitation will happen after that, it will just be COLD. Looking at the NAM, snow will begin around mid-morning and last through the night as the snow-growth region stays pretty saturated with a brief period (around 2-3 hours) of no happening around mid-afternoon. So it all depends on which model you feel comfortable with. But afterwards, both are in pretty good agreement that it will be blistering cold for Jackson, TN. NWS has a high of 12 for Monday and a low of 5 Monday night, just for reference.

We don't get snow in the Jackson area unless it's supposed to be in the mid 50's the next day so it will all be gone by mid morning.

Yeah, I wasn't disagreeing with you, moreso just bemoaning the lack of ever getting any decent snowfall in central MS that sticks around more that a couple hours.

We live in the South, never expect snow. But if we 17 up a snow forecast, we won't be able to live it down for the next few years.
