This is for the Dak for Heisman campaign and is food for thought. As we all know, Eli was a Heisman candidate for Ole Miss. Since this board has a fairly good football IQ, everyone on here understands that Dak and Eli are different styles of QB- Dak being a dual threat QB and Eli being a drop back passer. So, for this comparison, I'm going with total touchdowns- passing, rushing, receiving- because I felt like it was the most fair way to compare red apples to green apples. This comparison is through Eli's sophomore year, and in case anyone is wondering of forgot- Eli redshirted just like Dak did. Eli was a back-up as a freshman, and did not miss a start in college due to injury. Dak was basically a change of pace guy his freshman year and then started this year and missed most of three games with an injury. So, without further adieu:

Dak Prescott career totals to date:

14 TD passes
7 INT
17 Rushing TD's
2 Receiving TD's

Eli Manning totals through the end of his sophomore year:

34 TD passes
11 INT
0 Rushing TD's
0 Receiving TD's

For those of you scoring at home, that's 33 TD's for Dak and 34 for Eli. Over the course of Eli's last two years, he had 55 TD's. (50 passing and 5 rushing). If Dak stays healthy and averages 28 TD's over the next two years- which is possible since he had 25 TD's this year alone in an injury shortened year, he could very well catch and pass Eli as far as TD's are concerned. Another way to think about it- if Dak can average 14 TD passes and 14 rushing TD's a year, he will also pass Eli. That's basically one passing and rushing TD per game.
