Just ridiculous. Problem is, some of those guys are choosing to go sit the bench for a year or two rather than going to MSU where they could play the same schedule, get similar coaching, and play right away.

And Les Miles will find a way to blow 2-3 games next year that they should easily win.

yes, they are signing 5 WR's. Any one of the 5 could start for us.

Lsu puts wr's in the nfl every year. They're losing 2 starting wr's this year to the nfl. Can't really blame the recruits

This is just so dumb. OGB and Landry would be going to the NFL no matter who they signed with.

Maybe, but they signed with lsu.

Bowe, Holliday (rb/wr), Randle, Shepard, toliver, doucet, Henderson, and soon to be be Landry and Beckham... I'd say they have a nice track record with wr's

Then you're calling the recruits dumb, not msstate7. Because the number of players a team puts in the NFL is absolutely a big factor in recruiting.

For sure, but every receiver you just listed was a 4 or 5 star.

And they sign many more 4 and 5 stars that don't pan out. We sign 1 5 star DT in Quay Evans and we someone asks about him every day.

Yes, they are dumb. Why would Brandon Stewart sign with UT in the same class as Peyton Manning? B/C they all think they are the next big thing.

Was Trent Richardson dumb to sign with mark Ingram already there?

No, b/c they were in different classes, and Bama rotates RB's.

They won't have Mettenberger to throw to them next year... and the QB that played in the bowl game for LSU certainly didn't "wow" me.

Recruiting is a self-fulfilling prophecy.

1. LSU puts receivers in the NFL
2. Recruit sees that and decides to go to LSU
3. LSU signs 4 other guys just like him
4. 3 of the 5 don't pan out due to lack of playing time
5. 2 of the 5 become Beckham and Landry
6. LSU puts receivers in the NFL
7. Repeat and wash

Its about players. LSU doesn't put players in the league. Players, coaches, and competition against which they play against puts players in the league. MSU plays the same schedule, has similar facilities(Except for stadium capacity), have great coaches, and play on TV every game.

There is no benefit for a receiver to go to LSU, unless he goes there because the QB is better. With Dak, and our QB development, that should no longer be a problem. Hard to understand how OM recruits WRs so well when their QB is below average.
