for a few minutes tonight, and they were discussing the 1963 Liberty Bowl with John Carrero. Carrero was actually pretty funny...he said that there were 3 things he could remember about that game: 1. Cold 2. Cold 3. Cold
Said that it was so cold, Jack Cristil said he had to drink his coffee within 2 minutes or it would freeze solid and he'd have to lick it. If that ain't Jack.
Then Wyatt was talking about how his first ever Bowl Game was the Cotton Bowl, and he just remembers walking in the hotel room and seeing the SWAG on the bed. Said it was tons of stuff including a Playstation. He said "we felt like Kings. And we played like we thought we were kings against Texas, and they whooped our butts." It was good radio.
Maybe we should tell our players that if they play their asses off next year they may make history AND get Playstations and shit. College kids will run through a damn brick wall for free electronics...or at least I would have at that age.
