7 straight losses, and 10 of their last 12?

That's down right bad.

That AJ Reed is one of the goofiest looking ****ers I've ever seen throw a baseball.

He's been effective so far though.

Im more curious on what UM is going to announce the estimated attendence ... I thought we have a lot of empty GS seats. its not half full and not many asses in left field..

Kentucky had 2 on with no outs. I'd have bunted facing wahl.

It's easy to get frustrated with us- but once you watch other teams play, you realize we are pretty damn good

After watching ole miss-ky and ole miss-tenn, I have to agree with you. If wahl pitches like this against us, we'll beat him

College baseball coaches don't seem to be on par with college basketball and football coaches. When's the last time you seen a college baseball coach go to the pros as manager? Ever?

Apples and oranges as far as sports to me. There are a lot of politics involved between college and pro baseball. In MLB, they kind of look down on college baseball plus they are both competing for players at the high school level, and also at the MLB level, those players want to play for someone that played pro baseball or there may be respect issues in the clubhouse. MLB basically wants college to be pretty much about "learning" and not about winning. But that's why I prefer college to minor league baseball- it's more about winning in college.

The relationship has gotten better over the years as more and more MLB players are coming from college though. Pat McMahon coached a Yankees minor league team a few years ago, Ron Polk was offered a minor league manager job by the Reds in 1997, and the Cubs hired Vanderbilt's pitching coach as their minor league pitching coordinator- Derek Johnson. You notice that all of these guys were offered minor league jobs, and that's another reason why it's apples and oranges. They would make a college coach go through the minor league system- like most anyone else whereas Coach K could probably go coach the Lakers right now.
