Rice is a good team for sure, but if you look at the styles of the two teams, we seem to be a match up from hell for them. I don't think that as a whole we are a lot better, we just match up really, really well.

If you're going to use that logic, then:

Rice barely beat 3-9 Tulsa 30-27
Rice barely beat 2-10 UAB 37-34
Our only common opponent, TAMU beat Rice by 21 with JFF playing less than a full half.

I think Rice is a very good team for the league they are in, but I do think we will be too big & fast for them. I suspect we can move the ball as well or better than TAMU did, given TAMU played their backup QB more than half the game. There is no way in hell they can move the ball as well against us as they did TAMU's shitty defense.

Of course, if Mullen insists on forcing Perk between the tackles over & over, then all bets are off. But if Dak is healthy, Mullen uses Perk appropriately and we give them a steady dose of JRob, Shump & Griffin, then I think we cruise easily.
