How many MSU fans do you expect at the game?

I'd expect 40,000+ MSU fans.

There are going to be A BUNCH come on corporate tickets for their companies that work in/around the Memphis area. There are currently only 36 LB tickets remaining on Stubhub. That's a pretty good indication that the place will fill up -- and I would think that Rice is bringing 10k max.

Stadium holds 61K, and most seats will be filled I imagine. Just checked the site and there aren't that many tickets showing left, probably less than 1,000. I'm sure there will be a few thousand Rice fans, a few thousand corporate bigshots just going for the heck of it, a few hundred kids that get tickets donated, and the rest MSU fans. Like engie mentioned, some of the corporate tickets may also be MSU fans.

I think a lot of folks (myself included) skipped the Gator Bowl last year due to being there 2 years prior, the rough end to the season, and the loooong drive. Most of those folks (again myself included) are more than willing to make the few hour trip to Memphis for New Year's.

We had over 40k there for the last Liberty Bowl. Due to Rice's inability to sell tickets (4k Undergrad that does not care about football), our fans will likely pick up extras so we should have a few more at this one than the last one. Here is a picture for reference from '07:

and ended up getting tix 12 rows up in Section 119.......I would assume these were corporate tix but not sure.......Sometimes procrastination pays off..........Anyway, there were a few tix left in this section as of yesterday afternoon but now they are gone.........

Seriously, some of you have obviously never been to an MSU game in Liberty Bowl before. There will be as many maroon clad folks as there are seats at Scott Field. Take heart, this is such a home game folks.

You go on the liberty bowl site and rows 26-28 for midfield sections are available for sale, but show "obstructed view" when you scroll over those seats. I've never been to a game there, so I'm not familiar with the stadium. Just can't tell from the above picture or any others I've seen that there would be anything to obstruct your view.
