Don’t agree with being able to pull funding for that since these players are not employees. The rest of it is how it should work. Wrong way to get it done though

It won't hold up anyway, but maybe the ncaa will realize it's a good plan and write up the rules

NCAA has no rules that mean anything. Whatever the rules are just get appealed and then judges make the rules. Heck, I'm already mentally going to count the Egg Bowl as a win for us this Fall since OM will using an illegal player.

It would be pretty funny if we beat them with Chambliss.

I can personally attest that Trump and Saban have been golfing together and Saban is his go to on this stuff.

Their rules are too vague, which opens these cases up to loopholes and interpretation. A flat out 5 years to play 5 with no exceptions for anything takes the judges out the game.

The way its written the universities risk losing federal funding if they don't comply. If so, the schools will self-regulate; the NCAA wont have to enforce anyting. Risking loss of federal funds is a huge incentive to comply. And if the player sues they won't be eligible until their case is settled, not the way it is now where they can play while the case is pending. When you count research grants, pell grants etc. etc., MSU gets roughly 200-250 mil in federal funds. Larger schools like Michigan, Texas and so on get nearly 1 Billion in grants. So, not a nothingburger. The hope is the schools will enforce the rules themselves rather than risk it. And, it grants NCAA antitrust exemption protection from being considered a monopoly, can't be sued.

The P4 Commissioners are all behind it- so from there something should at least make some headway

Yeah. This is what I suggested on Twitter and it went crazy viral.
I think fans want college athletes playing college sports. Not 25 year olds who are just playing for NIL money because they got tonsillitis and they're trying to make everything fair for everyone.
