I noticed that at olemiss he was wearing a brace in the dugout (i don?t remember which day that i saw him) and last night, he wasn?t wearing one. Oak said over the weekend that they would be evaluating him this week. Has any info leaked out?

There's a reason we have announced our Thursday starter. Gains an advantage on Georgia

Got to figure he'll be out another start but after that its truly just a guessing game for us until they run him back out there

From Oak last night. “He’s doing great. I don’t have a timetable yet, but I will have one soon. I was happy not to see him in a brace tonight too.”

He is listed as “Out” on the injury availability report for Georgia. No surprise.

Well, they probably truly don't know too. I suspect if he feels OK he'll play pitch and catch and then see how his arm feels the next day.

Not a surprise to anyone but McPherson is listed as out this weekend.

When McPherson returns, does Foster become our Sunday starter? This is, of course, assuming that Foster continues to pitch well on Fridays in the mean time.

Well not unless The Duke starts to crumble. The Duke has pitched pretty well for a Sunday starter. But we could tandem those guys on Sunday which would give us even more flexibility in the bullpen on Friday and Saturday. We get to where we can pretty much count on getting 7-8 innings from The Duke/Uncle Charlie on Sunday? Thats just a wealth of riches

It truly is and that would be a +++ for Sunday in our league.

You keep Stone as your Sunday guy and use Foster as your Thursday starter or bring him on if one of your starters gets in early trouble. You can use him a lot like we used Preston Johnson in 2021 IF HE KEEPS HIS FORM. If he reverts back to ole Foster we will just use him as a bullpen arm.

IMO Duke looked better coming out of the bullpen than Foster earlier in the season. If Foster can start and looks good doing that- I might go that route.

Not sure how anyone would know including the coaches until he starts back throwing bullpens.

Yeah. Depending on how he feels playing pitch and catch is the first step really. If that goes Ok then he can start bullpens.

Start Bauer next Friday.

He can do it. 4 innings.

Problem is we had to shut him down to heal. That means he has to ramp back up. He wont be able to throw 85 pitches until A&M. We will have to use tandem starters for a few weeks before A&M. So maybe he starts vs LSU and pitches 1 inning and then we bring in Foster. Then he goes 2 innings and so forth

Correct. I figure we would let him do that during midweek games though with some kind of a pitch count that gradually increases.
