View Full Version : Without our #1A pitcher - We held #18 OM to 6 runs in 3 games at their shit park

This includes our best reliever blowing a save and then winning that game anyways.
Only gave up two bombs - both in the shitty weather night. Blanking their home run board in b2b games feels good.
Yea you can say we flirted with disaster. You can also say we rose to the occasion on all but one attempt. And that guy who blew that got his head right and cleaned up someone else's mess then cleaned his own mess up.
This is as good of a college baseball team as you'll ever see. Enjoy.

The bullpen is growing up- huge for this team. If Uncle Charlie gives us a couple more quality starts while Mac gets back to full strength- we are golden

The young arms growing up is what we have to have. That one thing is the difference maker between good and great for this team. We are starting to see very positive trends for sure.

Yeah. Going to be interesting to see how they handle that when McPherson comes back if Foster continues to pitch like that.

It seems like we're identifying roles a lot better than we did last few years. I liked how we used Ben Davis today. I liked how we used Pitzer on Friday. Dane Burns is our left handed specialist. Webb is our high leverage guy who can also close. Gleason is a really good middle reliever who can get out of jams. Sweeney is a quality middle relief guy that can eat innings when he is on and a good compliment to Tico. Miller is already contributing but I think Parker Rhodes can help too and Jack Bauer is a wild card who is progressing well.

piggy back stone and foster on sundays. but i'm not optimistic that it's going to be an issue.

Nice to hear some positive tater. Not that we lost a recruit to UGA or that our vaulted offense can't score more than seven runs and is compared to "playing pool with a rope" or that our star third baseman needs to sit because he's in a slump. Lolz
