Must be because it is just a niche sport!

Kind of suck at football too judging by the last 3 years of Big Ten Champions.
But 30xs more people are watching the basketball game than will watch the CWS final.

The OP is wound up because the other day I pointed out that baseball is a club sport and that our fans put way too much emphasis on it. A lot of our fan base has not accepted the fact that once the ACC GoR act is up that there is a strong chance conferences become obsolete and that there will be a super conference or two. In order for us to be considered for that, we need to start winning in football and basketball and doing everything we can to be included. I used Oregon state as an example how they have a better baseball program than us and no one cared when the big 12 and ACC picking teams.

Im sure those die hard Oregon State baseball fans will be pumped up for their conference weekend series with Texas State, Utah State, and Gonzaga next season.

Women's basketball is a niche sport. Even the good programs lose millions every year.

SEC baseball programs basically make money or pay for themselves. That's not niche
Niche is a sport that has to be totally subsidized- like womens basketball.

You can say the same for Lacrosse and Hockey

Alabama, Auburn, Florida, Georgia, LSU, Oklahoma, Tennessee, Texas, Texas A&M all have a great chance of being in a Super Conference with Miami, North Carolina, Florida State, Clemson, Notre Dame, Ohio State, Michigan, Penn State, Wisconsin, Oregon, UCLA, USC, Washington, Arizona, Arizona State. Obviously those are the 24 most likely. There are 16 to 24 more programs amongst the remaining 112 D1 programs that could qualify for your so-called Super Conference if it ever happens. There are 66 to 72 other current D1 programs that have no business in a Super Conference. But?The Second Level group is going to still be far superior to FCS programs, so there will be money and championships available for those of us that don?t make that 40-48 program Super Conference. Any more than 48 programs and it AINT no Super Conference. In fact, 48 is too many. State and many other SEC programs ain?t getting included in your fantasy Super Conference.

We wont be left out of anything. Thats just foolish handwringing. The SEC and Big Ten rule all college sports. Viewers matters. Oregon St/Washington St got left out because they bring nothing.

You have not followed the trends in college sports lately if you are in denial of a super conference. This sounds like a give up Mississippi State mentality. Look at Indiana for example before mark Cubans money. They would not have been considered but they put forth the effort and resources to now be a top draw. Ole Miss and Illinois have done it as well to a less degree but they have moved their names up the charts. We can do it if we focus on it and prioritize portal and NIL and don’t stick our heads in the sand

Oregon State has a better baseball program than us. Explain what else we are bringing at the moment.
Also the point is that the SEC and Big 10 wont exist anymore. It will be something completely new, and both will be shedding the bottom feeders in the conferences.

A) The Pac-12 disbanded and is no more. Some of their teams were poached which led to the disbandment. The conference was not making money the way the other conferences were.
B) The SEC is not going to disband. It is the strongest and toughest conference in the country year in and year out.
C) The Big Ten and SEC are making ridiculous amounts of money and its going to take one helluva an idea and plan to change whats going on.
D) If a new entity is created- all sports will be taken into account and it will morph into something around 50-60 teams.
E) Bottomfeeders will be included. No team is going to want a schedule where they have to play Bama, Texas, LSU, and Georgia in the same month.
Vanderbilt had 4 winning seasons from 1960-2007. They survived staying in the SEC. We're not going anywhere except being homecoming for a few teams every season.
