We lost an insanely intense and competitive series against the number 5 ranked team AT THEIR PLACE and we won 1, and got walked off in one, and yet some of you guys are acting like we are awful or something. lol. Consider our losses and the scores to those games
We do have to improve at catcher and the bullpen is very bipolar right now. But to go 1-2 on the road at Baum walker is not bad.
There you go making good points again Matt. Have to be careful you're gonna spin this place up with that talk. *****

Nobody is doubting our ranking or that we belong. We are one of the most talented in the country. But the bad coaching decisions costing us wins hurts come seeding time and as you know affects our ability to get to Omaha- much less win it all
Come playoff time, if we deserve to be in Omaha we will get there. This sport is unpredictable. We could be a national seed and lose to a Murray State style tesm that is just hot. Or we could be the hot Murray State. I would rather be the hot team at that time if year. Yes, seeding can make it harder to get there. But you gotta play the best sooner or later. As you always say, just win.
I think BOC learned some valuable lessons this weekend. His first SEC series and we took 1 from Ark at Baum while having the chance to take all 3. Just didn't capitalize. He will make adjustments accordingly.. we hope anyway.

Maybe, but it makes a huge difference whether you are playing at home or playing on the road to get to Omaha.

100%. Giving away these games vs good teams lowers our seed which makes Omaha tougher. Super Regional on road is harder to win than having it at Dudy-Noble. Notre Dame 2021 was scorching hot when they came to us and in G3 their SP pissed himself in front of the crowd that day. His legs were shaking

And they made errors they had not made all year

Absolutely.. home field advantage can make all the difference. Especially for teams like us, LSU, Ark, and OM. There is no question that you want home field advantage. The Dude will be ready to burst at the seams if we host this year

I know it's somewhat irrelevant and I don't like comparing team statistics from previous years because circumstances change but we got swept by Arkansas in 2021 (home) and lost the series to Vandy (away) and Missouri at home. Also lost to Kent State (home) in a midweek, Tulane (home), and TCU at the beginning of the year. Saying all this just to say we are going to be fine. Losing in baseball is going to happen no matter what. We have too much talent and too good of a coach not to be fine.
