Looks like tickets are about $100 a pop for next Tuesday night. Crazy for Pete Trailer Park. The Dude GA is a fifth of that.

Work has me in town in Shattiesburg for the week and I'm looking for at least two. SRO is fine for me. Was gonna take some other sconnies butttt might just be me and my brother at this point sheesh. Let me know if I'm just screwing up how I look for these tickets or if the Mustard Buzzards really just wanted to gouge our fanbase for their Super Bowl.

You're not screwing anything up. They jack up the prices when OM or us come to town. They do it for every sport we play against them. I still remember the 17 Regional. They tried to limit the number of tickets State fans got to only player parents. The university had a hard time getting tickets for anyone outside what the NCAA gave out.

Then there was the 2015 football game, they wouldn't sell single game tickets so State fans were having to buy season tickets to Southern Miss to be able to attend our game.

****ing lame. Guess I'm dropping a couple hundred. I had never been to the trailer park so figured a work sponsored trip would be smart to take advantage of. Especially since I can comp my food at the ballpark.

i'm in h'burg and don't even try. An early midweek baseball game isn't worth more than $20 as far as i'm concerned anyway, regardless of who we are playing. They will probably charge you $10 extra for a hotdog if you are wearing maroon.

There is zero reason to play them in any sport. Just let them fade away into the obscurity they deserve and turn into the juco they are worthy of becoming

I don't care if we play them at home, but we need to stop making any of our sports teams travel to Hattiesburg.

Are the only tickets available in the party deck area down the RF line?

That's the only standing room there is in the entire stadium.

One can bring a lawn chair and sit there.

Jackson should host a weekend series with State, OM, and the Beagles. Every year. Governor’s Cup.

I'm in favor of just keeping the Governor's Cup between MSU and Ole Miss personally. Just like we wouldn't include USM in the Egg Bowl battle.

I do think and wish we would play USM in Pearl again though.

I wonder how the stadium in Pearl will continue to be maintained the longer the M-Braves are gone? It was already getting dilapidated towards the end of their run and it would make sense for it to continue to go downhill.

At least if we play them in Hattiesburg in baseball and win it's probably a top 50 RPI road win on our resume.

My problem with playing them there is there have been several incidents there between our coaches and their fans and one of which actually pretty much ended us playing there awhile between their fans and Lane Burroughs and Cohen.

They also embarrassed themselves for trying to arrest Ron Polk while he was arguing with an umpire.

The Mud Monsters I think are doing an OK job at least of having things going on there. I know they had ice skating at Christmas there which I think was a great idea. The last time I was there the stadium seemed to be in OK shape to me. But I'm also there for the game and I don't care about amenities as much as some fans do. IMO, I think Trustmark is nicer than the stadium in Biloxi. I'm sure I'll get some blowback on that from some coast people. But as long as there is a team playing in Trustmark I think it will likely be OK although just like anywhere else updates need to happen from time to time. They also had a HBCU baseball tournament there a couple of weeks ago.

My biggest complaint with the Mud Monsters right now is they don't have Governor's Cup tickets on sale yet. Usually I have bought them in early February. Ole Miss and USM are also playing a baseball game there too.

The Atlanta Braves screwed over Mississippi when they ran the product down and pulled the team out of there for Columbus, GA.

I thought the OM game was the Mayors Cup. That’s why I said Governor’s. My b.

It used to be called that until the game moved to Trustmark Park.

I?ve been to both stadiums several times. The capacity is bigger and parking is better at trustmark but concessions, multiple points of entry, and bathrooms are much much better at Keesler. My biggest complaint about Keesler is they didn?t build it big enough to host a real college baseball tournament like Round Rock.
