I think we platoon 2B. I think it'll be Wyers at 2B in Game 1 and Woodsen at SS with Frei at 2B in Game 2 with Wyers at SS.

I also think Jacob Parker will get at least one start this weekend in the OF.

Yeah I expect most of the roster plays this weekend. James and Bevis are going to get some time as well

With weather for Saturday I wonder if there is a possibility of 2 on Friday?

Texas got the ND catcher, we got the Seton Hall catcher. But still, I think we have a tremendous upgrade behind the plate compared to last year (offensively and defensively). Man, this lineup is gonna rake !!!

And you are leaving out Drew Wyers. Who was the America East player of the year and we beat Tennessee and LSU for him.

Going in, I thought Wyers would be the SS and with Woodson being young, he was coming in to add depth and possibly takeover at 3B or SS next season. That said, NCState fans weren’t happy about losing Woodson and they complained that he should have been playing a lot more as a true freshman, so they were looking at him as a potential star. I wonder if Oak and his staff recruited Woodson out of hs and knew him and his abilities. Wyers wouldn’t be the first highly touted player that everyone wanted and didn’t pan out at this level. I’m sure others with more knowledge of what has been happening will chime in.

Nobody has won the SS job yet. That's part of the concern. The other is playing our 3rd best fielder of the group at 2B because he is one of the best hitters on the team

Yeah I know. He's a factor. Can't figure him out. He's basically been playing second and third. No ss at all. We shall see. Just figure if Frei get time there it ruins wyers.... but I could be wrong

They really like Woodson. But he's a show me guy. Meaning he's never done it on the field. Course gaitlin is the other guy there at this point and he started for us last year. We shall see

Yeah, while the team is really talented- BOC has got to figure out how we are going to work the infield. Thats alot of tough decisions. Pitching is super talented. OF is easy to pencil in. WTF do we do in the infield? That's going to be the day to day struggle

The question seems to me?

Is it better to have Sully at 1st or Frei at 2nd?

Which is worse?

He's buddies with that Notre Dame catcher.

This is my thinking as well. James has been great from all accounts and is by far our best defensive option and he's swung the stick better than most expected.

I don?t know why Chance would not bat high.

Didn?t he hit .300+ last year and doesn?t strike out much?

In the toughest conference against the toughest pitching?

He is proven

He feasted on the bottom of the SEC. Why would you bat him ahead of Ace, Sully, Frei? That's crazy

5-20 in the postseason that included a 4 hit game vs Northeastern

That kid is a 6-7 hole hitter, solid in the lineup but we need at bats for the guys you mentioned.

You gotta think each of the 1st 4 in this lineup will have an OBA of .400+ and Nunnelee in the 9-hole can be like another leadoff hitter as we cycle through the batting order. I really think this is going to be one of the best offensive teams in the SEC this year.
