Why would Ole Miss be ranked higher? More NIL for basketball or Beard just thought to be a better coach?

The real order is Kentucky, Florida, Arkansas, Alabama, Texas, LSU, OU, Tennessee, Auburn, Missouri, Vandy, State, aTm, UGA, South Carolina, Ole Miss

Nicer arena and the perception that if you win they will do it what it takes to keep winning from an NIL and salary perspective.

This is correct. They are pretty much going off this year... besides UK

It’s how coaches view the job. Has nothing to do with this season.

Give it a year and a third of those won't even be considered good enough for our job.

You must have an algorithm that defaults to displaying all negative MSU news. ***

Only thing the OM basketball program has over us is a newer more updated arena. We have better basketball history and as much or more basketball NIL. Neither State nor OM has huge basketball fan support unless things are really going well. It's really the 3rd sport at both places these days.

Facilities matter. Our home games are a ghost town, so I understand the perception

I posted it to show how are fans and the actual coaches view things very differently. Even in this very thread- we have fans telling the coaches that their perception and views are wrong. It's the same way in football also

It's not even so much about where state is ranked but aTm at 6? They have never been past the sweet 16 and then you have OU at 14 who has been to 5 or 6 final 4's? Tennessee ahead of Florida when Florida has 3 NCs and 1 champ game appearance but Tennessee has never even made a final 4? Texas at #2 with no national titles and only a few final 4s? This order just seems extremely peculiar.

Lol. We know what coaches and generally everyone outside of MS thinks of our University and our state for that matter. We aren't na?ve. You just get a rise out of posting negative shit about MSU when we already know it. It's literally all you do… I assume for clicks. But that's not even working anymore.

History is just a very small part. Resources, facilities, atmosphere, and location are going to be much more in the forefront

A and M has more resources, better facilities, better support structures, better boosters.
How many ncs you've won and final 4s you've been to in the past no longer matter to coaches. These coaches believe in themselves they want to go where the most resources are so that they have the best chance to be successful. The most meaningful resource being expendable capital to build rosters and an and m has that ten fold.
