Not to jinx us but it's nice to see a team playing with confidence.

We are up 72 to 58 in the 4th quarter with over 2 minutes left. If we can hang on to this win that will be 2 top 15 wins against #7 Kentucky and #15 Tennesse.

Great win. First top 25 road win since 2020!

May be the best win of the Purcell era. Even over the LSU win.

Nice Win. Halfway through the SEC schedule . 16-6, 3-5 conference. Work to do but now with 2 ranked wins, one on the road. Looks like Sam has told Kharissa to go hard and it?s working. Solid back to back to back games for her.

I will be the first to admit I was dead wrong about this team.

As good as K Richardson was in bulling her way into the lane and scoring, this game was won by D McPhaul and T Crisp. They held the pace of the game against a relentless press by Tennessee.

Overall we held Tennessee 17 points under their average and used their gimmick hockey substitution style of play against them. Subbing in C Prater, J Lampley, and M Guillet gave the team three long and athletic defenders to swing between the perimeter and post.

Four more SEC wins are all we need to get to the NCAA Tournament. Tonight was a huge step.

Richardson and Crisp played well.
To win @ UT is a BIG DEAL.

Big update today. Moved up to an eight seed and got some reference by Charlie Cr?me at the start of the article.
“…Mississippi State was equally dominant at Tennessee on Thursday and picked up its most important victory of the season. The Bulldogs earned their second Quad 1 win (both over teams in the top 20 of the NET). With a NET ranking in the top 40, the Bulldogs might have done enough to earn a second straight NCAA tournament berth, as long as they win the games they are supposed to for the rest of the season.”

That is a great win for the lady dogs. Very proud of them because they are very young. I think this Purcell’s best overall coaching job. What I like about Purcell is that he seems to be willing to learn from his mistakes and adapt. He is not stubborn like a lot of other coordinators/assistants we have hired in the past. If he can keep this team together for next year and add a couple portal players I think we have a shot at being near the top in the SEC.

Not to be overlooked is freshman transfer Melissa Guillet from France coming off the bench in that first half and playing some really good defensive minutes during that critical time when Miss. State was taking control of the game. Same with Chandler Prater. Neither was available for that first game against Tennessee.
