That should calm the natives that were ready to fire everyone. Also, this doesn't tell the story on Seaton. We needed another tackle after James left. Sneh COULD be a LT, but he also could be RT or the swing man.

He graded well. I think he will be fine.
We averaged 30 PPG with the five matadors so with the improvements we've made we should be fine on offense.

2022 Fayetteville State D-II Started as a true freshman.
2023 Elizabeth City State D-II Started 10 games; developed into a top D-II prospect.
2024 Wagner College FCS Started 11 games (600+ snaps); allowed 0 sacks all season.
2025 UAB FBS Transferred to UAB after a brief spring stint at Kansas State.
As far as I can tell, it's all been at LT

We should go into the offices and pitch the plan for you and I to scout the Euro league and CFL for players!

After missing big on Seaton and the corresponding fallout that followed I bet we paid a pretty penny for this one.

as crazy as it sounds, professional athletes still cant play "amatuer" sports.

If he is indeed 6 feet and 2 inches, KT should be able to easily see over him in the passing lanes. But, he'd better be able to keep the arms down on the six-foot-four DT or DE that is lined up opposing him. It is a big fall in my opinion. Except for Boone and maybe a guard, we are again rebuilding our entire OL with just one spring and fall practice session to learn the offense and gel as a unit. Time will quickly tell if we are even serviceable. JMO.

Not true. Ask Baylor. Baylor signed former NBA draft pick James Nnaji, a 7-foot center drafted in 2023 who played professionally in Europe, for the current college basketball season, making him the first former NBA draft pick cleared by the NCAA to play college hoops.

There were 10,000 players that entered the portal- every school is rebuilding every season. That's college football today

Yep. And we need pipelines not being used. The Euro League and CFL.

So is he really 6'6 or 6'2? That's a big difference. All the scouting sites say 6'6 but 6'2 keeps being thrown around here
Really Clark?
01-21-2026, 04:01 PM
He is definitely not 6'6" in height. He is much closer to 6'2". But if his wingspan is the same as someone 6'4" or longer he could play tackle, just doesn't have the desired measurable.

Thanks. A lot of these measurables are pointless. Wingspan over height. Just like 10 yard split is a lot more useful than 40 yard dash.

I would think long arms are more important than height. In the picture that i saw, it looks like he has pretty long arms. Maybe he isn’t a first round draft pick, but I don’t think he will be a turnstile either.

How did we miss big??? We were in the conversation, but to lose out to teams that are winning on the reg vs what we?ve been doing lately. We?ve stepped up in the NIL, but you have to start winning to ?miss big? in the portal. If he doesn?t go to LSU, then they missed big. If we missed ?big? on anyone, it was Dyson from Tulane who went to NC State.

Exactly- we didnt miss big on Seaton. Thats comical. The fact we were in the convo shows that Lebby and Crew are doing a great job.

So overall did we improve our o-line? I would have graded last years oline as a d+. We HAVE to be at c+ to b- to be even remotely successful.

My point wasn't that we didn't have a shot. If I recall I believe C34 thought we were wasting our time anyway. I was under the impression we spent a good bit to get him on campus.

We need the 5 Norsemen of The Apocalypse!

I would say so.
We have a senior in Sneh who is an older player playing LT. We get Boone back. Chester and McVay should be upgrades and both have SEC experience- I think McVay played some at Alabama. If Boone struggles, Chester can play center. Steen should be healthy.
The younger players have a much higher upside and we needed some younger linemen to build for the future. Prudhomme, Nash, Miller, and Matthews all have really good potential and if we got those four together in a high school class it would probably be one of our better classes ever.
If we can land Seaton, that would be a grand slam. It would give us a NFL LT and then we would have three legit tackles we could roll through.
I do wish we would have been able to keep Jimothy Lewis and I wish he would have been willing to switch to guard and I wish either Owens or James would have stayed because that would have given us really good depth.

Why did James get his panties in a wad? Did he not think we would court a player like Seaton? Guess we told him we were getting another tackle regardless.

So did everyone that wanted him to come to campus for a visit. Guess what, everyone was willing to pay him just to make a visit to have a chance to sell themselves to him. He still only visited a few places, State was one of them. That alone is a win.
If you worried about the kind of money he got for visiting, then you aren't getting any really good players to ever come to campus because that's the price of doing business these days.

A rumor going around said he wanted $2 million to stay. He was told to go find that $2 million elsewhere.

If that's true, then the people that should know him best are our coaches. If they deem guys not worthy of paying, then that's the business you have to be in these days. You can't keep everyone or blow all your $$ on mediocre players.

DeBoar has turned Bama into a soft Pac 12 team. He will go back West and look like a genius again.
They will offer Cignetti crazy money to come to T Town.

LSU writers seem to think they are no longer in it. It's down to MSU and Oregon and Miami I assume

With Cuban as one of the backers and Indiana has one of the largest and wealthiest alumni bases in the country, I doubt Bama will be getting Cignetti.

This is the same conclusion I've come to. Anyone that watched Jayvin James and Kendrick Bingley Jones play last year at no point would have said "yeah they are good enough to play at Bama". I predict DeBoer is fired before the Iron Bowl is played.

I wish I could be excited about our team if we would just address the two most glaring needs by spending money on production and sealing the deal. Then I'd talk myself into saying we beat Bama this year.
Maybe I should just wish for glue and huff that so I can be like a certain unpaid intern astroturfing every convo.
