Realistically though we were 107th in defense this past year. 40th would be a massive jump. If you look at Arnett's first year in 2020 we finished in the 50's. That's probably more realistic or the 60's.

But even that would get us another win or two.

True but the big dropoff happened last half of year for various reasons. Our D was competitive first half of year. Injuries were part of it.

I really think it depends on the haul from the Portal. Our back end is already way better. We have viable depth.
