What do we have in place. Do we have a GM type person? Someone in charge of scouting? Who are these people? What does Ole Miss have in place that we don't?

OM had LK. But in reality it has to be run like an NFL organization. There needs to be a GM and scouting dept sep from the coaching staff so they can concentrate on the on field stuff. I hate to say it but go watch Moneyball.

Yes- Mississippi had a GM type guy but he is now in BR. They will be replacing that spot.

I believe most if not all of their scouting dept will be in Baton Rouge. That's a big blow for them.

We do have a GM and scouting dept.

We are expanding it though.

We're also adding more on staff coaches too. Some will focus on recruiting and some will focus on coaching fundamentals. And some will help with and do play calling like Kevin Johns and Matt Brock.

Still a work in progress though.

A bigger blow is Simmons probably going to Missouri. They are all in on Chambliss getting his extension. If he has a decent game against Miami he should go pro

I have no idea why he would come back to college no matter what he does at Miami. He could make way more as a NFL QB than he could at any college. It's also way less riskier than waiting on a waiver. In the event it gets denied then he either has to sit out or go to Canada to play basically.

Esp after what happened to KT. You could lose out on tens of millions if you get hurt/

He is projected as a 5th-6th rounder currently. He would make more in college next year

Way more. The saints' stud rookie qb was a 2nd rounder is making about 2 million (signing bonus prorated) this season.
