Justin Denson. Has not played much. I think we have better on the team

Just bc he didn?t play much at Michigan State doesn?t mean he?s not an upgrade from what we have opposite Kelly! Don?t judge a book by it?s cover.

Maybe, but we were 60th nationally in pass def, and Michigan st was 92nd

I guess that means our DB coaches see something that some of us don?t

He?s visiting bc it?s evident we something that intrigues us.

He?s a safety at 6?2 194. In ZA?s defense you can?t have enough good tacklers. Maybe he?s great in space, or he can be a hybrid in coverage m2m, blitz packages, etc.

True. Or they would not bring him in.

Why are we using team stats for the evaluation of an individual player?

I'm not, but pointing out that this guy couldn't play on one of the worst pass defenses in the country. Maybe he just isn't a good fit.

He played in 8 games as a true freshman in 2024 and was good for a true freshman.
He played in the first 3 games in 2025 (not sure if started or not) and then didn't play anymore to preserve his redshirt.

Thanks for the clarification. If our coaches want him, I want him, but damn, sitting out early in the season to transfer grinds my gears. "I hate the new college sports!" - me yelling at the sky

I get it. Happens everywhere these days

Really Clark?

He was the backup with Smith at the safety position. MI ST had 2 returning starting safety's that were upper classmen.

Agree on all that

On the other hand Brennan Thompson doesn't get a 5th year because he part-timed on special teams as a gunner for Texsa his freshman year.

Redshirt rule is a joke. 4 years to play 4 or 5 years to play 5.
