Proba a lateral move/ He had a dam good year last year for the Rays and was in no danger of losing his lineup spot.

I think Pittsburgh is a good fit for him. He has a good chance to start there and will play a lot at the very least.

Most teams don't appreciate or want a player of Jake's abilities in today's MLB, where gorilla ball reigns. Hit .200 is fine; 20+ HRs is a success for outfielders. Pete Rose, Rod Carew, Rickey Henderson, etc., wouldn't even be appreciated in today's game.

He was also a "crowd" (if you can call it that in TB), favorite—big mistake trading him after the past season, on and off the field. He will be very successful and popular in Pittsburgh if given a fair chance.
