The negative obsession with the best coach we've had (excluding JWS) in my lifetime (80+) years is an example of our fans. Never understood it. He was here 9 years which is pretty much the lifespan of any coach at one stop. I wish him success in wherever he coaches.

I love JWS, but Dan was better. JWS did it in an era when the SEC was down, Dan did it when the SEC was at its zenith.

This narrative is so tired. First, very few coaches beat teams better than them with any regularity. Second, he elevated the number of ?teams we are supposed to beat?. If we do that now, we win 3-4 games. He did it winning 8-9 games.
