Take this headline at face value. Do not believe OM 247 when they say they have sources about us hiring Durkin - remember these same people said they were keeping all their coaches at double salary, on top of keeping Lane, on top of Lane never seriously entertaining LSU, as well as Lane threatening to take all the players and making Lane the bad guy the divorce.
They just spin everything and make them out to be good and their opponents out to be bad. State lands a 5*? Well let's just plant fake rumors about how State only got it because they're getting some big fish DC. And then if State doesn't land him, then the story is about how State fumbled the DC - not the 5* that they recruited.

Not a reputable State source has said Durkin is in play yet. So why are you asking? Instead be patient.
We may get Durkin, but it's either A. not progressed near as far to set yourself up for disappointment like we are trending towards or B. so tight-lipped that we should be proud at how well run the admin is in controlling leaks and having plugged all the holes in 2 years.
Look for the traditional State sources to tell you when it's actually serious. Not OM, not Auburn, STATE.
