From Keith Carter:
"Lane was escorted out of the building while acting hysterically and not allowed to talk to the team.
Pete is working to retain all of our staff and we believe all are staying, all defensive and most of offensive, minus a couple.
Pete is the heart and soul of the locker room and our #1 recruiter and relationship guy.
Playoff, recruiting and program continuity were paramount.
It has been a long process and frustrating at times but this is the right decision for now and future of OM football.
Let's keep this thing rolling and go get the natty. We have a game in 3 weeks and hope to see all of you here.
Let's go!!!!!

This is the narrative Dick Cross is pushing that Golding was the secret sauce. He was the real magic behind Kiffin.

They are spinning in a delusional fever dream right now.

Trying to deflect from the fact that Lane Kiffin was literally their entire program...it's face, personality, mantra/aura, etc.

The cope is HAAAAARD right now from these clowns.

They've all been planting this narrative for two years. They knew Lane would leave soon so they had to be ready for the narrative that it wasn't actually Lane.

I'm having Arnett flashbacks.
Same thing we said. That Leach trusted him to be the guy and always looked to him for the answers.

I’d be so mad if that was my leadership. They’re exposing the fact that they lied to cover for Lanes behavior but trying to torch him as he was on his way out.

I don’t for one minute believe Lane was acting “ hysterical” it’s a narrative and Carter doesn’t mind using it because Lane mentioned him by name in the interview with Marty Smith.

OleMiss is toxic and their fans are largely of the sheep mentality.

I seriously hope our administration didn?t try to put that narrative out there. I mean Arnett, who was only a DC for a few years for us and never a HC anywhere, guided Leach on being a HC? Utter bullshit that should be mocked openly. I know they spun the narrative of keeping him to keep the recruitment class intact, but I thought it was just because we needed a HC to not look like a lame duck to recruits

Oh no. We spun the narrative that he was Leach's hand picked successor he'd told everyone that who he wanted to be the next HC. Even said they found a note in his desk that said, "If all goes to hell, call Zach." Like we laid the spin on THICK.

At least when we did this we didn't have an AD in place. So this actually worse.

Well, he was pretty upset that Carter wouldn't let him speak to the kids and mainly try to sway them to follow him. He may get a few of them from the portal later. Part of Lanes issue was also that security stopped Knox at the door and didn't allow him in but it got real heated when #8 the TE told chris kiffin where to go and what to do as he was escorted out. I'm not sure if he was supposedly acting hysterical at any other time.

Kiffin is a lose cannon so I am not sure why anyone would not believe that he acted hysterical. I can certainly see it with his inability to control his outbursts and his lack of impulse control on twitter and with the media.

Their wives did to look at real estate. They really don't need to lose Smith. He's the key to Lacy.

Also, since I've seen it brought up by the fanboy media on On3, Lane did own the dog. He just kept it at Wildrose during the season. He'd had some problems with it because the dog was alone a lot during the season so he felt it best to keep the dog with him so he wouldn't tear shit up in the house anymore.

I know this because I'm getting a dog from Wildrose and I just straight up asked them about it a few weeks ago. Lane has kept the dog there during the season and whenever he's away. It's actually quite common for people that have gotten labs from them to leave their dogs with Wildrose if they are away because they do obedience refreshers for them free of charge.

Apparently some of our media is jumping on the train that Juice was never his dog and stuff like that. The dog was his.

If Lane Kiffin called Keith Carter today and said he'd had a change of heart, the OM fanbase would line up on the ground and let Lane drive a car over them from Baton Rouge to Oxford. They are just pissed because he doesn't think Oxford is the greatest town on earth and he left the Velvet Ditch.

I mean it's no different than us calling Starkville "StarkVegas". They have just marketed it better than we've marketed the StarkVegas stuff. They also don't care if people make fun of them for calling Oxford "The Velvet Ditch". They see it as endearment.

It is. Because I know plenty of people that use Velvet Ditch not very endearingly. And if you think about it, they're basically calling everything not the campus or The Square a shithole.

LK might want to consider wearing full body armor and wearing a football helmet like Bear Bryant did over at Georgia Tech back in the day. He might also want to surround himself with a SWAT team; I mean they really do throw whiskey bottles out of the stands up on the plantation.
