Our bottom of the SEC defense screwed us more than the OL did but that's what everyone wants to fixate on as "The Problem".
Well the defense was terrible, but man watching our QB not have a second for the fastest WR in the country to burn everyone sucked.

Sneh is ineligible. The NCAA is going to count his d2 years, so he's done.
Not Lebby's fault regarding Sneh. But he's probably cooked.
You needed a LT and not only did you NOT get one, you lost the one you already had.

This is absolutely brutal. the OL is somehow worse on paper now than it was last year, that's really really bad. Lebby lose his job bad.
So what's next, do we sue the NCAA like literally everyone else and get him eligible or does that only work for Ole Miss for some reason? How can the NCAA not make that decision before transfer portal season? wild

I would give interior OL an upgrade, tackles a downgrade. Tackles bit more important so on paper, seems worse to me.

I do not understand how this happens nor do I understand why MSU is not challenging this in court.
Also, whoever reviews the eligibility of players for MSU needs to be fired tomorrow.

We were originally told he was eligible. That was the problem. We also offered to fight it and Sneh didn't want us to fight it. He wanted to go ahead and start his pro career.

Because the other portal players that we picked up are better than the ones that they replaced

Yuppp. I’ll be surprised if Lebby isn’t gone by 8th game

By who? We were just taking UABs word for it? Anyone who took the time to do the research would see that he had already played 4 years. If you were going to need the D2 year to count as a redshirt year, you would think someone might would have checked D2 rules on how many games were allowed in D2 the year he played there before losing the redshirt.

Guess we will have to wait until Spring to even get a clue. Not sure how we could have botched this any worse? Not only do we not end up with Seaton or Sneh, we also managed to lose Jayvin James to Bama where he will probably only be a backup. He would have likely been our LT1 at least going into Spring.

The NCAA changed the rules regarding D2 eligibility after he had signed with us and was getting ready to start classes. It wasn't something that even could've been known about.

So they retro changed the rule. Hard pass Mrs. Lebby but nice try.

I'm strictly going off reporting from Paul Jones and Steve Robertson. I legit have no clue how it happened. The reasoning doesn't make a whole lot of sense to me. I'm more PO'd that we apparently signed this kid and he really didn't have a desire to play here since he has no want to fight this.

Big Enough, Slow Enough, Weak Enough, Bad Knees included. Just not good enough and way too old, even though I should have a wee bit of eligibility left. What is the going NIL rate for a 73 year old gray haired over-weight coaching critic?

You can probably compete for a starting spot with some of the goobs we have at LT. Lol

Very disappointing. Cannot believe we had $4M to spend on one LT and after missing did not have contingencies ready to go for 5 other guys. We have the money why in the world are we sitting on it
lol just found my post from 2 months ago. Funny how that played out.

At Auburn first on March 28. He is the highest ranked player still in the Portal and a 4 Star Edge.

Which is stupid because it would have likely been one of the easiest appeals ever. The fact that NCAA rules aren't the same in every level is ridiculous.

Probably true given the guy likely won't even be a drafted player. Could have made more this season at State than he will as an NFL free agenr.

No. The kid didn't want to do it. I'll be completely honest, I don't know that the kid ever really wanted to be here but a lot of the fan base got enamored with him and then Jayvin got upset we were pursuing Seaton and left so a spot, and NIL funds, opened up for Sneh.

Well, the fans know we need a left tackle. Whether it's a left tackle that really wants to be here or not.
All around it's a fail by Lebby and his staff no matter how we cut it. And this kind of thing has been all too common and fans are tired of it. Especially when you have Ole Miss going all out to get whatever they need and we're sitting here with situations like this.
