Unfortunately, one thing that has followed Jans every year he has been here is that we don't shoot the three well and don't shoot free throws well. Generally good defense, but that alone can't carry us. Maybe not enough NIL??

We have enough NIL for a strong 5-7 players. I think we made some bad evaluations.

We have a good team again. We won't shoot the lights out but we could be better. We returned 3 guys. Give it some time.

We definitely have to give it more time
This is a brand new team, we cant start passing judgment too early.

We haven't shot FT's worth a wet fart since Richard Williams.

The main reason our fans think we suck at FTs is because fans think FTs should be made at a higher rate than they are. The national average this century is 69.3%. We clear that about as often as we don't, and it doesn't seem to have much correlation from one year to the next. The one exception I noticed was the post-Roberts teams. We were legit bad for a few years there.

We shot 70% last season. That may have been the best we have shot FT's this century. If it isnt- its def top 3

We were better than that 3 times under Howland, but sure

Uh, Rick Ray would like a word with you. We weren't competitive under him, but we did make 73% of our FTs in his last season...
Just goes to show that regardless of how well we make our FTs (since we're always around the 65%-70%) - it isn't a recipe for success.

Also- if you take out Cam Matthews who was awful at the line- the rest of the team shot 73.6 from the line

Anyone know the status on Tee Bartlett? I thought we would see him some Wednesday night. I was hoping he would be a contributor this year

We wasted real money on the FSU QB - lol wrong thread and team.
I stand by my original post, lol.

Josh should be in the 90s for FT%. Thats why i wish he would drive more because he has a better chance of making a 3 the old fashioned way than behind the Arc.
