How about $52 million dollars. Regardless of what many think, money doesn't grow on trees, when will Auburn and many others learn their lesson? These longtime contracts with huge buyouts have gotten out of hand, lucky for the Sec and the money sharing helps but still I blame the AD's and the hiring committees with overpaying. Not sure who Lsu, Florida, Arkansas, Auburn and maybe Kentucky will do hiring a new HC. As we all know, the portal and NIL have destroyed college football and firing after a few games into the season is the new way of doing business.
Man, I want Lebby to win 6 games, if so, he should be the COY in the Sec, I realize some on ED don't see my vision, but I see Lebby in a tough situation at our "graveyard coaching cemetery"! Our history speaks for itself. Just a tough place to build a program, we have only had a very few to survive.

HailState!

P.S When does baseball start* LOL

Will this firing carousel be an annual thing in the SEC now with 9 conference games? everybody can't go 7-2 annually.

It's going to become an annual thing as long as fans are funding every part of the program. There's going to be 2-3 firings each and every year moving forward.

And this is where those with cooler heads will win out in the long term. Stability is going to be a must going forward, culture and program are really going to matter. This is how you will be able attract the right players for your the program and succeed.

Exactly, be smart with our money resources. Makes me happy seeing Lebby being 5-4 with outside chance if us bowling. Man some of the "Village People" dont understand who we are and wanting Lebby fired!

Mizzou on the road but with a 3rd string QB. Egg Bowl at home. Got to find a way to get that 6th win. Would be huge in Y2

We are winning 6, honestly i think we win 7.

My guess is that we will be favored by the time the egg bowl gets here. Great matchup for us.

Their secondary is awful. SC had dudes running open, Sellers is just ass. Shapen, if given time, is really damn accurate. This feels like 2009 all over again.

They will be 10-1 and ranked among the top 7 in the country. No way in hell will we be favored

Yep. Depending on what happens against UGA and Mizzou, they will either open somewhere between a 9-14 pt favorite. If I had to peg it right now, I'd say the line opens at -10.5

UGA opened as a 7.5 favorite. Throw in the rivalry game factor - my guess is that it will open around 3.5 to 4.5 favorite for the bears, and will close near a pickem.

I understand wanting baseball to start but truth be known, I'm enjoying football again for the first time in a few long years. Albeit with a few pissed off games we let get away but I'm also enjoying watching these teams that are firing their coaches suffer through some of our tribulations. For me it's a pretty good season.

I agree even though not happy with several games, we compete with the best and chance to win every week. Been 2018 since I can say that.

While looking forward to baseball, I'm can't wait for basketball as Jans looks to take us to 4 straight NCAA tourneys and who knows what else.

Totally agree... I think we're finally headed in the right direction with all three programs... Maybe a mini golden period for us and let's enjoy it

Is he talking favored over OM or Mizzou? I don't MSU will be favored in either.

The Mullen thing to do is too prepare a larger pool of plays for KT and shock OM with a totally different offense on Thanksgiving. Go full Chris Relf.

Screw it. Just run the table and finish 8-4 with wins over two top 10 teams.

depending on results of the Georgia game as well as Mizzou. I expect them to open around 6-7 and it to stay there. I dont see any way it closes near pick'em. I think it's more likely to grow than shrink

They fire Shula, but Beamer has not experience as a coordinator himself. Ole Miss somehow gets a good rush on teams with a 3 man front, so there is that as well. By the time of egg bowl, hoping we have some wiggle plays for KT get their D out of sync.
