View Full Version : Great use of the transfer portal

We brought in 2 great WRs in Evans and Thompson, guys who knew how good they were and just weren't getting the opportunities to show it, and both of them made a key catch to flip a loss into a win. Whoever identified those guys as being worth it did a fantastic job.

Hope we can do even more of that this offseason and bring in some more key pieces.

We had a really good portal haul.

Thompson and Evans on offense have been great, but Sylla, Manning, Gullette, Bledsoe, and Reed have been good on defense too. And all of those guys prove that you don't have to have prior production to be successful. Just need upside and someone to evaluate it. We did.

Agree on all accounts our portal class was top notch. Don't forget Fluff and Whitson too. Do that again next year and we got something going.

? Isn't it the off field staff that does the research on this and presents it to the on field staff/hc? There is a reason we're doing better this year and I believe s lot has to do with 1 another year in the system/ having a starting qb with experience 2 more/ experience in the off the field staff helping out with the day to day

Yes it?s off the field staff, we are still not up to par with the rest of the league but gaining on it. We have to keep growing the staff and add enough folks that are paid well enough to give us continuity dealing with coaches players and agents or handlers. This is what the game is now.
