These 3 freshmen are really good. Two ( Francis and Lampley) of them were among the top 3 scorers in the exhibition game against Union. The third (Nataliyah
Gray) according to Coach Purcell has been dealing with a hand injury which has thrown her a little behind the other two but he went on to indicate that she..Gray can really score the ball...he sounds confident in her making up ground and
coming on as well moving forward. Not just these freshman that are really good but there are good players, with some
being really good throughout the roster. Also, there is the experience level of most of the older players with the freshmen playing catch-up. Miss. State's women's basketball team's key word for season is "drive." Also, Coach Purcell continues to talk about team effort, being hungry, length, speed, defense, and playing best basketball come ncaa tourney time. How much and how far can they drive...we shall see.
